“พระเจ้า ๕๐๐ ชาติ” เป็นเรื่องในอดีตของพระพุทธเจ้า เมื่อครั้งเสวยพระชาติเป็นพระโพธิสัตว์ต่างๆ นกกระจาบ ฯลฯ เพื่อบำเพ็ญบารมีเตรียมพร้อมที่จะตรัสรู้ในชาติของเจ้าชายสิทธัตถะ ในแต่ละชาตินั้นพระองค์ต้องประสพพบเจอกับเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ มากมาย ต้องใช้คติธรรมและสติปัญญาในการแก้ไขปัญหา ซึ่งคติธรรมเหล่านี้เป็นแก่นสำคัญของเรื่อง และไม่เคยล้าสมัยแม้ว่าเวลาจะผ่านเนิ่นนานแล้ว
The “500 Past Lives of Buddha” is a story about the Buddha’s past lives, when he was born as various bodhisattvas, sparrows, etc., to complete meritorious actions. He had to experience many different situations and apply morality and intelligence to solve problems in each life. These morals are the essence of the story and are never out of date, even after a long time has passed.
