ตามธรรมชาติของนกกระจาบตัวผู้นั้น จะต้องสร้างรังเพื่อให้นางนกมาวางไข่ เช่นเดียวกับ จาบ ที่ตั้งใจเลือกวัสดุในการสร้างรัง มีความอดทนในการคาบวัสดุไปกลับหลายร้อยรอบ ใส่ใจยารังด้วยมูลของวัวควายให้รังเหนียวแน่นทนทาน จนรังนี้สวยงามแข็งแรงน่าอยู่เป็นที่ถูกใจของ จ๊าบ นางนกตัวเมีย ที่ตกลงใจมาอยู่ด้วยกัน จ๊าบจึงเสริมให้ภายในรังอ่อนนุ่ม ด้วยการคาบปุยนุ่นและขนนกอ่อนๆ มาปูไว้ ก่อนจะออกไข่ ฟักไข่ และเลี้ยงดูจนลูกเติบโต

According to the nature of the male weaver bird, it makes a nest for a female one laying eggs.
