นวนิยายไซไฟ-แฟนตาซีขนาด 13 ตอนของจิดานันท์ เหลืองเพียรสมุทร เรื่องนี้ยังแยกย่อยออกเป็นแฟนตาซีสตีมพังค์ (steampunk) เล่าเรื่องอนาคตในอดีต ในประเทศหรือเมืองสมมติที่แบ่งโครงสร้างเมืองออกเป็นเมืองชั้นบนและชั้นล่าง ด้วยบรรยากาศผสมผสานระหว่างความเก่าแก่ของยุควิกตอเรีย ผ่านตัวละครโอลิเวอร์ เลียม ฮิลสัน ขุนนางหนุ่มนักดนตรีชั้นสูง กับเมแกนเด็กสาวรับใช้หุ่นยนต์ และกับคนชั้นล่าง โดยเฉพาะ โจเอล ยังก์ หนุ่มนักนอน (sleeper) ที่อาศัยอยู่ในเมืองอันไม่น่าอยู่ ด้วยผู้คนยากจน ขาดแคลน และบ้างก็ล้มป่วยลงด้วยโรคประหลาดๆ ตลอดถึงตัวละครอันดูลึกลับซับซ้อน ในแหล่งสถานประมูลของเก่าอย่าง โรเบิร์ต สแกนเลน และ จีอา ซึ่งตัวละครทั้งหมดเหล่านี้ แม้จะมีด้านหนึ่งก็มีสายใยเกาะเกี่ยวเชื่อมโยง ถ่ายเทวิถีไปมาระหว่างเมืองสองเมืองอีกทั้งยังจะมีความหวัง มีแสงสว่างอยู่เรืองๆ อยู่ในยุคสมัยที่ดูเหมือนว่าจะสิ้นหวัง
Jidanun Leungpiansamut’s 13-part sci-fi-fantasy novel is separated into a steampunk fantasy that reveals the future of the past and a sci-fi-fantasy book that tells the future of the past. What separates the city structure in a fictional country or city into upper and lower towns. With a scent of old Victorian ambiance through the character of Oliver Liam Hillson, a young aristocrat who is also a high-class musician. Together with Meghan, a young maid robot girl, and the lower classes, notably Joel Young, a sleeper who lives in an unlivable city with the poor, needy, and strange illnesses, as well as the mysterious and complicated characters from an antique auction shop, like Robert Scanlen and Gia. There is a link between these people that leads to the route that connects the two cities, and there will always be a flicker of hope in this hopeless period.

จิดานันท์ เหลืองเพียรสมุท ชื่อเล่น ลี้ ใช้ชีวิตวัยเด็กที่ ต.ปากน้ำ จ.สมุทรปราการ เริ่มต้นเขียนหนังสือในขณะที่มีอายุได้ 12 ปี สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับมัธยมจากโรงเรียนสาธิตมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ สำเร็จการศึกษาระดับมหาวิทยาลัย จากคณะศิลปศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ในภาควิชาภาษารัสเซีย มีผลงานทั้งในด้านวรรณกรรมสร้างสรรค์ และนิยายชายรักชาย ที่ได้รับความนิยมในหมู่นักอ่านวัยรุ่น ได้รับรางวัลวรรณกรรมสร้างสรรค์ยอดเยี่ยมแห่งอาเซียน (S.E.A. Write) ประจำปี 2560 จากรวมเรื่องสั้น “สิงโตนอกคอก” ตีพิมพ์โดย “แพรวสำนักพิมพ์” โดยเป็นนักเขียนอายุน้อยที่สุดในบรรดานักเขียนไทยที่เคยได้รับรางวัลนี้
Jidanun Leungpiansamut, also known as Lee, grew up in Pak Nam, Samut Prakan Province. When she was 12 years old, she began writing and attended Chiang Mai University Demonstration School. She earned a university degree from Thammasat University’s Faculty of Liberal Arts in the Russian language department. She has her work in creative writing and a boy-love novel popular among young readers. She is the youngest Thai author ever to receive the ASEAN Best Creative Literature Award 2017 (S.E.A. Write) for the short stories “The Outlaw Lion,” published by Praew Publishing.
