The author takes us on a journey through Niko’s life as we explore the behind-the-scenes aspects that led him to become a bad boy. Get to know the people of the Niko family, including the mother, uncle, sister, and others around these people. Which, if you look closely, is a representative of the majority of Burmese citizens… someone that typical visitors would never have met if they visited on a superficial basis. Niko, the Bad Boy of Sule Pagoda, not only takes you to see, smell, listen, and feel Yangon from a different perspective, but he also leaves you with the idea that in a society that is “constantly growing,” there are many others who struggle to keep up with the changes. No one would be left behind if we slowed down and focused on helping one another.
