นิทานคำกลอนสำหรับเด็กเรื่อง “ลูกเป็ด ลูกไก่ เพื่อนรัก” นี้ให้แง่คิดแก่เด็ก ๆ หลายอย่างทั้งในด้านความสามัคคี การช่วยเหลือเกื้อกูล และการแก้ไขปัญหาร่วมกัน จึงนับว่านิทานเรื่องนี้ นอกจากจะมีความสนุกสนานแล้วยังมีประโยชน์แก่เยาวชนในด้านการบำเพ็ญตนให้เป็นประโยชน์ต่อส่วนรวมและตัวเองได้เป็นอย่างดี
