ช่วงนี้พ่อมดน้อยมีอาการแปลกๆ คือชอบพูดว่า “เดี๋ยวก่อน” ตื่นนอนตอนเช้าก็ไม่ยอมเก็บที่นอน เพราะคิดว่าเดี๋ยวก็มานอนอีก ไม่อยากล้างหน้าแปรงฟันเพราะคิดว่าเมื่อคืนเพิ่งแปรงไปเอง รอเดี๋ยวก่อน ถึงเวลาทำการบ้านก็ไม่ยอมทำ เอาแต่บอกว่าเดี๋ยวค่อยทำพรุ่งนี้ก็ได้ พอตกเย็นก็ไม่ยอมอาบน้ำเพราะคิดว่าเดี๋ยวก็เช้าแล้ว พ่อมดน้อยชอบพูดเดี๋ยวๆ กับทุกเรื่อง
โดยมีเจ้าปีศาจเดี๋ยวก่อนคอยเกาะแกะอยู่ตลอด และร่ายมนตร์กระซิบให้พ่อมดน้อยพูดแต่คำว่า “เดี๋ยวก่อน” มากขึ้น ยิ่งพ่อมดน้อยพูดคำว่า “เดี๋ยวก่อน” มากเท่าไหร่ ปีศาจก็ยิ่งตัวใหญ่ขึ้น..ใหญ่ขึ้น พ่อมดน้อยจึงต้องหาวิธีทำให้ปีศาจเดี๋ยวก่อนหายไป ส่งเสริมความคิด ฝึกการแก้ปัญหา สร้างเสริม EF ขัดเกลานิสัย แต่ไม่สอนสั่ง เล่าเป็นคำคล้องจอง
Recently, the little wizard had unusual behavior, saying, “Wait a minute,” waking up in the morning and refusing to make the bed because he expected to fall asleep again. He didn’t want to wash his face or brush his teeth since he thought he had done so the night before. Wait a minute. He was meant to finish his schoolwork, but he didn’t and kept promising to do it tomorrow. He declined to shower in the evening since he expected it to be morning soon. For everything, the little wizard would say, “wait a minute.”
Because of the Wait demon’s provocation, the little wizard was cursed to say, “Wait a minute constantly.” The monster grew in size as the little wizard said, “Wait.” The little wizard needed to discover a method to make the Wait demon disappear. This book fosters ideas, problem-solving abilities, EF, and habit formation in kids without telling them what to do. The story uses rhyming words effectively.
