หญิงสาวคนหนึ่งอยากมีลูกสักคน นางฟ้าใจดีจึงมอบเมล็ดพันธุ์ให้เธอนำไปปลูก เมล็ดพันธุ์นั้นเติบโตเป็นดอกทิวลิป และมีเด็กหญิงตัวน้อยแสนสวยขนาดเท่านิ้วโป้งอยู่ในนั้น เธอจึงตั้งชื่อเด็กหญิงตัวน้อยว่า “ทัมเบลินา” แต่แล้ววันหนึ่งก็มีเหตุการณ์ไม่คาดฝันเกิดขึ้น ทำให้ทัมเบลินาต้องออกไปสู่โลกกว้าง และนั่นเองที่ทำให้เธอได้พบกับธรรมชาติอันแสนงดงาม

นิทานต่างแดนเรื่อง “ทัมเบลินา สาวน้อยผู้รักธรรมชาติ” ที่เล่าเรื่องราวของหญิงสาวตัวน้อยที่เกิดจากเมล็ดพันธุ์ ด้วยเหตุนี้จึงทำให้เธอมีความรักในธรรมชาติและเสียงเพลง ในนิทานยังสอดแทรกแง่คิดคุณธรรม จริยธรรมด้านความมีเมตตาต่อผู้อื่น ด้วยความมีจิตใจดีของหญิงสาว จึงทำให้เธอได้รับมิตรภาพที่ดีจากเพื่อนสัตว์ตัวน้อย ๆ ที่คอยช่วยเหลือจนเธอได้พบกับความสุข นิทานเรื่องนี้จะช่วยปลูกฝังให้เด็ก ๆ รู้รักและหวงแหนธรรมชาติที่สวยงาม ไม่ทำลายสิ่งแวดล้อม ซึ่งเป็นทรัพยากรที่มีค่าของโลก

A young woman wanted to have a child. The kind angel gave her a seed to plant. The seed grew into a tulip, and a beautiful little girl was sized as a thumb. So, she named the little girl “Thumbelina,” but one day, something unexpected happened. It was forcing Thumbelina to go out into the wider world. That’s the way she met beautiful nature.

The foreign tale titled “Thumbelina: The Girl Who Loves Nature” told the story of a young woman born from a seed; hence, she had a love of nature and music. There is also a point of view in moralities and ethics of compassion for others in the story. Due to her kindness, Thumbelina gained good friendships with her little animal friends, who helped her find happiness. This story will help children to love the natural environment. Children will not destroy the environment, which is a valuable resource of the world.
